LAPIS LAZULI
Lapis lazuli is Chile’s national stone, declared as such on September 23rd 1984. It is a semi-precious stone composed of at least 14 different minerals, lazurite stands out amongst these, providing its characteristic blue color; wollastonite and calcite produce their gray and white seams, and pyrite decorates it with its golden highlights.
Lapis lazuli has always been a symbol of purity, health, elegance, luck and nobility because of its intense and exclusive blue color,. This is why this semiprecious stone has been present in men’s creations for over 6000 years.
There are only two deposits in the world where this beautiful stone can be found, one of them being a mine located in Afghanistan and the other one in Chile. A mine called Flor de los Andes, located 3.600 meters above sea level, in the Andes mountain range, where its exploitation is only possible in the summer months.
Expert craftsmen design and create real art pieces with pure lapis lazuli or lapis lazuli combined with precious metals, giving birth to exclusive jewelry and decorative articles, with guaranteed quality, originated in the end of the world, which are shown in the following catalogue

Mindat.org : A rock type, containing primarily Lazurite, Calcite and Pyrite. Mined and carved as a decorative stone, this rock has a distinctive blue colour (due to the Lazurite), and this name is often mistakenly given for the mineral Lazurite itself.
